LTTE suicide bomber has blown himself near the Vavuniya bus stand killing one civilian and injuring 9 others this afternoon, defence sources in Vavuniya said.

According to the available information, the suicide cadre came on a bicycle had rammed into a three-wheeler carrying Police personnel near the main bus stand in Vavuniya town and explosion occurred around 3.15 p.m.

The driver of the three-wheeler was killed in this explosion, sources added.

Four Police personnel, 3 army personnel and 2 civilians were among the victims who suffered injuries due to the explosion and they were rushed to the Anuradhapura hospital, Police sources said.
