The SLTB employees who averted a massive destruction in the recent bus blast at Horton place have been presented cash awards. At a ceremony held in Colombo today, the driver of the bus received 25 thousand rupees and the conductor received 50 thousand rupees.

Police constable A.M. Muthunayake and Darshana Ruwan Kumara who acted wisely to minimize damage on life and properties of the public were offered 100 thousand rupees each.
