Sri Lanka Air Force MI-24 helicopters raided terror stronghold located in northeast of Akkarayankulam tank this evening, 15 September.

Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, speaking to defence.lk said that identified LTTE stronghold located 4.5 Km northeast of Akkarayankulam tank was raided by SLAF MI-24 helicopters around 6.15 p.m.

LTTE terrorists given heavy resistance from this targeted area for the troops of 57 Division engaged in fierce battle with LTTE terrorists from this morning, 15 September.
