Ground troops of Air Force deployed in Kandalkadu area in east Muttur have found a large quantity of 82mm mortar rounds in a search operation conducted this afternoon, 12 September.

Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, speaking to defence.lk said that the troops of 36 Regiment Wing have found 185 82mm mortar rounds, which had been concealed in barrels, while conducting a search operation.

The recovery was made around 2.00 p.m, he added.
