claymore blast kills three civilians and injure sixteen others-
Jaffna
LTTE
terrorists carried out a cowardly claymore attack killing two
civilians instantly and injuring seventeen others at Chunnakkam
in Jaffna this morning, September 27th.
Fifteen
civilians and two police personnel sustained injuries in the explosion
and they were rushed to the hospital at Thelippalai for immediate
medical attention.
Latest
reports said, another civilian succumbed to injuries while undergoing
intensive medical treatment.
According
to the defence sources, the explosion took place at the Chunnakkam
marketplace in Jaffna at 9.50 am. The sources further said that
the bomb was planted inside a bicycle parking space near the marketplace.
The target of the bomb might be a police vehicle which was parked
nearby, sources added.
