Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara assumed duties as the new Military Spokesman at the Media Centre for National Security at the auspicious moment, 9.03 a.m. today.

Brigadier Nanayakkara is the successor to Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe who will assume duties as the Military Advisor at the Sri Lanka High Commission, United Kingdom shortly.

Mr. Lakshman Hulugalle, Director General MCNS, Mr. B.K.U.A Wickramasinghe Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Public Security, Law and Order, Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe, outgoing Military Spokesman, Colonel Weerawardana Senior Military Coordinator, MCNS and the staff of the MCNS participated at the ceremony.
