to salute heroic sailors

In
saluting their colleagues who bravely took a prompt action to
avert a great disaster of the LTTE terrorists, the Eastern Navy
Headquarters will hold a felicitation ceremony on their return
to the land on Monday (17).
The
Naval sources inform that the 4 ships engaged in the mission of
destroying the three LTTE ships on the 10th and 11th of this month
will reach the Eastern base carrying the sailors along with the
two other vessels which assisted the mission.
Speaking
to the Government official news website a senior officer of the
Navy stated that this had been a practice of the Navy to cheer
and welcome the valiant sailors after returning to the land completing
a successful mission at sea.
