MI-24 helicopter gunships launched simultaneous attacks at identified LTTE resistance points located 6km Northeast of Akkarayankulma, Tuesday (Oct 7) at around 1.35 p.m.

According to Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, the raids were made in support of the 57 Division troops.
