Mohan Ellawala sworn in as Governor of SP

Mohan Saliya Ellawala was sworn in as the new Governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province before President Mahinda Rajapaksa at temple trees today (02).

Earlier in his career Mr. Ellawala served as a member of parliament, a Minister, and as the Chief Minister of the Sabaragamuwa Province.

He has also held the positions of opposition party parliamentarian, and Chairman of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council.

Mr. Ellawala entered active politics in 1974.
