57 Division Troops launched two attacks in the morning at 6.55 and again around 12.15 in the afternoon on Saturday(25) against the LTTE terrorists in the area of AKKARAYANKULAM resulting in heavy damages to the terrorists.

Meanwhile, 58 Division Troops advanced ahead of KALMADU AREA, KILLINOCHCHI between 8.00 in the morning and 4.30 in the evening yesterday (25) and captured a terrorist “STRONG POINT”.

Heavy damage was also reported to the LTTE terrorists in operations conducted by the Army in the area of PUNCHIKULAM and ANGAMPAMODDAI area, KILLINOCHCHI on Saturday(25).
