12 LTTE terrorists were killed and 6 others reported wounded in yesterday's (Oct 12) fighting between troops and LTTE at Wanni and North, according to finalized military reports received. In addition 2 soldiers have laid their lives and 7 wounded during the fighting.

At the Eastern Kilinochchi battlefront in general area West of Akkarayankulama, 9 terrorists were reported killed during confrontations, security sources said. On the Mullaittivu battlefront at Welioya, troops confirmed 3 terrorists killed and 2 wounded following separate confrontations with LTTE. The fighting was mainly reported in general area at Andankulama and Tannimurippukulama.

Meanwhile, 4 other terrorists were also reported wounded during a confrontation between troops and LTTE at Muhamalai.
