KILLINOCHCHI: A total of four LTTE bunkers were captured by troops during four separate confrontations in AKKARAYANKULAM area around 6.35am 11.10am, 3.10pm and 3.25pm yesterday (09). Sixteen terrorists were killed during the heavy clashes that occurred.

Another LTTE bunker located in WANNIRIKKULAM area was captured by troops around 1.00pm on the same day. Two terrorists were killed in the incident.

Four terrorists were killed during a battle in AKKARAYANKULAM area around 8.50am yesterday (09). Another terrorist was killed in WANNIRIKKULAM area around 8.15am on the same day.

In the same area around 6.20pm LTTE launched a mortar attack wounding three soldiers.
