Sri Lanka Army latest offensive elements, 53 and 55 Divisions, continued effective military thrust against LTTE terrorists while further consolidating their positions on newly captured LTTE's first line of defence at Northern theatre of Battle.

Troops have confronted with LTTE terrorists in general area Kilaly last morning, 21 November. Terrorists suffered heavy damages due to hours long fighting erupted, defence sources in Jaffna said. In a subsequent search operation conducted in the area, troops have found a decomposed body of an LTTE cadre along with a T-56 assault rifle and four hand grenades.

Meanwhile, troops confirmed that LTTE suffered considerable damages in fighting ensued in general area Muhamalai around 10.25 am yesterday.
