Karuna’s paramilitary cadres ambushed: 1 died , 7 injured

One paramilitary cadre belonging to the Karuna group died and seven others injured when they were ambushed by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam while riding in a motor van at Naavaladi located in Oaddamaavadi around 3:30 p.m on Sunday.

Wounded include Sinnathamby, a Karuna loyalist and the Treasurer of the group. According to available report Sinnathamby is seriously injured and admitted to the hospital at Polonnaruwa.

Karuna’s paramilitary group cadres led by Sinnathamby were on their way from Valaichchenai to Welikanda in a motor van and all of them were injured in a claymore mine attack.
