The photo depicts the moment LTTE leader Velupillai Prabakaran garlanded and draped the body of the slain LTTE political wing leader Suppaia Paramu Thamil Shelvan at an undisclosed place in Vanni.
Public and relatives of Thamil Shelvan paid last respect to him at his residence.

Thamil Shelvan, 43, is a father of one child. He joined the LTTE in early '80s and one time worked as a security guard of Tiger leader Prabakaran. He led the LTTE political wing since 1994 and represnted LTTE at Geneva talks.

He became lame due to an injury in Punarin battle while he was commanding Jaffna.

Thamilchelvan's funeral will take place in Kilinochchi on Monday (05).

LTTE media spokesman Irasaiya Ilanthiriyan said to Lanka-e-News that the funerals of the other LTTE leaders, Anpumani (Alex), Mikuthan, Neathaaji, Aadchiveal and Maavaikkumaran would take place at their villages this afternoon.

He said that the funerals were hurried since their bodies were heavily damaged.

When enquired what he has to say on the air attack, Ilanthiriyan said that Tiger leader Prabakaran would make a statement this afternoon.
