SLAF fighter jets today( November 26) raided two high profile
LTTE hideouts in consecutive sorties made at locations northwest
of Puthukkudiyiruppu and west of Kilinochchi, at 05.20p.m,
and 05.30p.m, air force sources said.
Heavy
payloads were dropped at the locations obtained through
real-time air reconnaissance and ground information, the
sources said.
Intense
activities were reported from these locations in eve of
LTTE's 'November 27' tiger commemorations. LTTE communications
were observed affected with congestion following the aerial
raid with pleas for casualty evacuations, military sources
said.
Air
Force spokesperson Group Captain Ajantha Silva, exclusively
speaking to defence.lk said, that SLAF fighter pilots have
confirmed successful completion of the missions.
LTTE
is yet to reveal the losses as damages were estimated heavy,
military sources said.
