Air Force fighter jets bombed and destroyed what has been
described as a vital satellite communication centre coordinating
international terrorist activity located in Dharmapuram,
North-East of Kilinochchi, according to security sources.
The target had been identified following air surveillance
and reliable ground information and is known to be a place
where key LTTE leaders frequently visited.
Defence
analysts say that this attack would have a devastating
impact on the LTTE’s intelligence operations and
is the latest in a series of successful operations carried
out by the Air Force.
