On the International Day of Tolerance and Non-Violence Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) Leader V. Anandasangaree making a statement said that hardly a day passes with out a person dying of violence particularly in the North. During the past three days 6 violent deaths have been reported from Jaffna alone.
Refereeing to developments in Parliament he said it is not a place to promote discord among various communities. “Tamils are a peaceful lot and can not be claimed as one with a terrorist outfit which is blood thirsty. One has compared late Chelvanayagam with the LTTE, but Chelvanayagam was committed to non violence and should not be compared to the ruthless LTTE,” he added

Mr. Anandasangaree has always spoken openly against the atrocities committed b the LTTE and fought for a peaceful solution to the country’s burning problem.
