This is Maadhawi Ishara Hewadhikaram of Age 7 – Daughter of E..D. Deepthi and Yashoda. She is studying at Agamathi Balika Vidyalaya – Panadura under special care as she is suffering from congenital partly hearing impairment

Though she can responds to deep, loud sounds, she is not in a position to communicate under normal condition. Yet she identifies language with lip movements but not deaf

It is recommended to be performed cochliar implant surgery for her within three months period of time by the panel of doctors chaired by Dr. T.R.C. Ruberu of Durdens hospital (Pvt.) Ltd Colombo

The total cost for the equipment and the surgery is around Rs. 2,650,000/- and it is beyond the reach of the parents with their income level.

Therefore, Madhawi’s Parents sincerely appeal for the kind assistance of general public to meet the above requirement.
