The Appeal Court dismissed the petition filed by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga challenging the President's Secretary's decision to prune her facilities including the number of official vehicles and staff members.

The Court refused to issue notices on the respondents in her application from which she complained that she is entitled to the facilities provided to a cabinet minister.
