areas in Mullaittiuvu reached the government control area
in Pulmoddai seeking refuge with security forces this morning,

A 15 years-old child and 5 youths, ages between 18 and 23
years, are among the escapees, sources said.
The
escapees have revealed that they had to leave their native
places to save their children and youths from the LTTE.
Commenting on the prevailing situation in Mullaittiuvu,
they further stated that the LTTE terrorists are forcibly
recruiting underage children and youth for the outfit and
occupying them on LTTE defence lines in Wanni.
They
have further stated that, they are unable to carryout their
day today life as the LTTE is extorting money in higher
rates from the civilians.
Security
forces have made arrangements to bring them into Pulmoddai
