Six terrorist were killed and many received injuries in a confrontation between security forces and LTTE erupted in general area Chettiyarkattaiadampan on Mannar front this morning, May 03.

In a subsequent search operation conducted in the area, troops have found 6 bodies of slain LTTE cadres along with some other warlike items left behind by the fleeing terrorists.

LTTE terrorists were continuously being defeated as the security forces have launched the multi-pronged offensive to rescue the civilians who have been hold in LTTE clutches.
