Let all of us strive to follow Lord
Buddha’s noble preaching of compassion, love and
forgiveness and model our lives in accordance with them,
with honesty and integrity states the Wesak Message issued
by Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe.
It
would help to provide the much needed relief to the world
from turmoil and turbulence says the UNP Leader.

text of the message:
Wesak day marks the day on which Lord Buddha, the preacher
of pristine truth to the World was born, enlightened and
died, in different years. The whole World celebrates this
day in recognition of the pure services Lord Buddha rendered
to the world by his enlightenment.
Let
all of us strive to follow his noble preaching of compassion,
love and forgiveness and model our lives in accordance
with them, with honesty and integrity
May
we all live in peace and in its fragrance with unity,
ridding ourselves of hatred, venom and vengeances, inculcating
the sublime qualities of humaneness which our Lord Buddha
taught us. This will help to provide the much needed relief
to the world from turmoil and turbulence.
May
this blessed day of Wesak Poya celebration usher in joy
and peace to the whole world.
