Sri Lanka Air Force fighter jets raided LTTE heavy gun positions located in general areas Andankulam and Kumbulamunai this morning, April 30.

Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Andrew Wijesooriya speaking to deence.lk said that air attacks launched between 11.15 a.m and 11.30 am targeting LTTE gun positions located 12 and 14 Kilometres north of the security forces Forward Defence Line (FDL) in Welioya front.

Meanwhile, MI24 helicopter gun ships raided LTTE stronghold located 3.5Km ahead of security forces defence line in Mannar front around 4.00 pm, spokesperson further added.
