Police have arrested a close associate of Pilleyan as
the owner of the motorbike used by the suicide bomber
who rammed a bus carrying police personnel killing 11
and injuring more than 90 in Colombo Fort on Friday (16th).
A man named ‘Jana’ was arrested by a special
police team in Trincomalee after investigating details
on the motorcycle’s registration number with the
Department of Motor Traffic.
Jana is said to be a prominent member of the TMVP.
