Sri Lanka Cricket will bid farewell to coach Tom Moody at a simple ceremony this evening at the board headquarters, Secretary of the Cricket Interim Committee K. Mathivanan told ‘The Island' .

Moody will arrive in Colombo with the team this morning after the three match ODI series in Abu Dhabi and is scheduled to fly back to Australia on Friday.

"His departure is a big loss for Sri Lanka Cricket, but we respect Tom's decision. He's been a key figure in Sri Lanka's success in recent times and we wish him all the best," Mathivanan said.

Cricket officials and players of the national team will participate in the ceremony.
