Gampaha Police acting on information arrested a person near the Bank of Ceylon, Gampaha on suspicion on Thursday (03) at 3.30 p.m. He confessed that he had close links with LTTE Terrorists and was given by a Sinhalese person trained in Killinochchi to keep explosives and military hardware for a mission in the Colombo area.

Later Gampaha Police after interrogating the suspect and acting on the information recovered from Pethiyagoda area he following items :

• 07.25 Kg x C 4 Explosives

• 10 x Hand Grenades

• 04 x Pistol Magazine

• 240 x Pistol Live Ammunition

• 725 x T 56 Live Ammunition

The suspect is an interdicted Railway worker.

Police are conducting investigations.
