Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has conducted an aerial attack on a well identified LTTE Camp, situated in the south of Mankulan this morning around 6.45 a.m. According to the SLAF sources the LTTE terrorists have undergone heavy damages. Meanwhile, Army had been able to recover 03 barrels of diesel meant to be transported to un-cleared areas based on information received from civilians, last night around 9.00 p.m. In another incident where the Army acted upon the information provided by civilians, the Security Forces have been able to recover a 186 live T-56 Ammunition and copper rolls used to explode claymore bombs, hidden near a wall close to a Hindu Kovil in the city of Jaffna, near Niravi Adi. Yesterday evening, an Army troop on a foot patrol have been encountered with a small arms attack launched by the LTTE terrorists in the Forward Defence Line (FDL) towards the North of Avarankulam and the Army troops have retaliated successfully causing two LTTE deaths. Two soldiers have also sustained injuries during the confrontation.
