President to participate the inauguration ceremony
of the World Economic Forum

The President Mahinda Rajapaksa will participate at the inauguration ceremony of the World Economic Forum today at 15.30 from local time. The Forum will be held at the King Hussein Conventional Hall in Jordan.

The President was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Public Works and Housing Hosni Abu Gheida at the Queen Alia International Airport.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday left the island to attend the G-11 Summit and the World Economic Forum in Jordan.
 


President Rajapaksa is scheduled to address the Summit, which will focus on matters of common interest to its member countries. He is also expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Summit.

Jordan's King Abdullah Al-Hussain will preside over the Summit.

Following the Summit the President will leave for Kuwait on an official visit.
A high-level business delegation accompanied President Rajapaksa on this official tour to Jordan by a Mihin Lanka flight. The business delegation will attend two summits and endeavour to fulfil an array of new investment opportunities on this tour.
