The SL military troops on observation duties at the Forward Defence Lines (FDLs) at Periyathampane general area, intercepted an LTTE movement with small arms fire killing four terrorists instantly, yesterday(12) at 07.05 p.m.

Mannar military officials said that search operations were conducted in the area under tighten security measures.

Meanwhile, on information received from a civilian, on Saturday (12), the SL Troops recovered a total of 3150 liters of diesel from Kondampiddi- Mannar, filled in fifteen cans, each containing 210 liters.

The Mannar Police are conducting further investigations.
