Prime Minister completes successful visit to Israel, Palestine and Jordan

During his visit Prime Minister adn his delegation met the leaders of the three countries and discussed bilateral issues. They also promoted business and investments in Sri Lanka.

A special highlight of his visit to Palestine was that he was greeted by the Mayor of Ramallah at Mahinda Rajapaksa Mawatha. This is the first time that a street in Palestine has been named after a foreign Head of State. It symbolises President Rajapaksa's longstanding commitment to the Palestine cause.

The Prime Minister detailed the efforts taken by the Government to eradicate terrorism and restore peace to the leaders of the three States. He explained the All Party Representative Committee process.

In Jordan, he focused on the possibility of getting more employment opportunities for Lankans.

Finally, the Prime Minister called on the international community to join hands to eliminate terrorism.
