The Government will continue military action until the last terrorist is gone - president

President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that the government will continue the military action in the same vein until the last terrorist is destroyed. He said so addressing a mass rally held in Rathnapura town today. The President in his comments said that the government is steering the country in the direction of building a free sovereign state and development which was confined to Colombo has been expanded to the village level.

He said he would never move away from "Mahinda Chinthanaya" and will even risk his life to safeguard it.

In further comments, the President said that the media firms that attack him and the government are supporting the Tigers Oraganisation. They are sympathizers of the Tigers He requested the media not to betray the government in that manner. The president also said that he would never kneel down before the foreign countries.
