TMVP
has decided to contest the Eastern PC election under United
People’s Freedom Alliance. The group will have ‘betel
leaf’, the symbol of the UPFA, as its symbol. Though
TMVP has stated that Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias
Pilleyan will be named as the chief minister candidate
the SLFP has not confirmed this.
