In Muhamalai, Jaffna a LTTE terrorist was reported killed in a SLA sniper attack yesterday at 3.30p.m.

Meanwhile, intermittent clashes erupted at the Vavuniya front as troops continued to move further into LTTE defences security sources said. According to reports received 3 terrorists were killed and 2 wounded when troops confronted an LTTE ground movement in general area Karampaikkulama, at 10.40a.m. A soldier was also reported injured during the confrontation.

Separately, 4 soldiers were reported wounded in Karampaikkulama following an LTTE mortar attack yesterday evening, security sources said. Meanwhile, intercepted enemy communication has revealed 4 terrorists killed in a heavy artillery attack mounted by SLA at LTTE positions in general area Ramanathankulama.

In general area Kallikulama a solider was reported wounded while 4 LTTE terrorists were also killed separately, when troops attacked a terrorist bunker defence on Tuesday at 3.30p.m.

In the Welioya front at Kokkuthuduwai 7 terrorists were killed in 3 separate confrontations erupted between troops and LTTE, security sources said. Meanwhile, in general area Andankulama 3 terrorists were reported killed when troops mounted attacks at a LTTE defensive position security sources said.
