George Mark Malloch Brown’s request turned down!

A request made by British Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office George Mark Malloch Brown that the recommendation made by UN‘s Commissioner for Human Rights Luise Arbour to establish a human rights office in Sri Lanka should be immediately implemented has been totally rejected by the Government of Sri Lanka state sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


According to reports the British minister has made this request afte4r a special discussion he has had with ‘British Tamil Forum’ and TNA Parliamentarian Gajendra Ponnambalam. In the discussion the representatives of tiger terrorists have requested the minister to assist in getting a self administration to Tamils in Sri Lanka and head a campaign isolate Sri Lankainternationally.


However, Government of Sri Lanka has informed George Mark Malloch Brown that Sri Lanka was an independent country and it is the Sri Lankan government that takes decisions regarding its internal affairs.
George Mark Malloch Brown, when he was with the UN was questioned regarding his relationship with George Soros, a multi billionaire who was involved in huge joint projects involving millions of dollars with the United Nations Development Program, which Brown had denied. However, he was living in one of Soro’s mansions adjacent to the billionaire's own home in Westchester County ‘paying’ a rent of $120,000 while his net take-home salary of $125,000 a year. After stepping down from the UN, he briefly took up the role of Vice Chairman of Soros Fund Management.


There had been another instance of criticism of the Malloch Brown family's occupancy of a government-owned, so-called "grace and favour" apartment in London.
