The Sri Lanka Turf Club is organizing the Horse Races for the festive season on 1st, 7th, 14th and 21st April 2007 at the Nuwara Eliya Race Course from 10.00 am onwards. The "Governor's Cup" is the main event for the festive season, it will be held on 14th April 2007 and as usual there will be a fashion show and several fashion models will be parading at the Nuwara Eliya Race Course.

Mr. Rajan Sellamuttu, Chairman Board of Stewards and the staff of the race course have done an excellent job in preparing the race track.

On 1st April, Hon. Sarath Ekanayake, Chief Minister Central Province and on 21st April Hon. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Governor Central Province and his gracious lady will be the Chief Guests. Several other Ministers will be present at this meet.

Hon. Gamini Lokuge, Minister of Sports has given Sri Lanka Turf Club his fullest co-operation to go ahead with the meets.
