LTTE terrorists have exploded a claymore mine targeting a police route clearing patrol at Kaluthavalai in Batticaloa around 7.25 this morning (June 22). According to the defence sources, one officer of Police Special Task Force and another police constable have been killed.

The bomb was placed inside a luggage of a push cycle which was parked on the church road, Kaluthavalai, the sources added.
