Sri Lankan Air Force MiG-27 fighter jets raided an LTTE stronghold this morning (June 5) during an air sortie launched ahead of the Mannar battlefront.

The LTTE strong hold was located 3km South-West of the Periyamadu Tank, Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nannayakkara said, adding that the target was engaged at around 8.20 a.m.
