At
a campaign held at Lipton Circus today to protest against
the soaring prices of fuel Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe
stopped vehicles to tell drivers to toot their horns to
get fuel prices down.
The
protest had been organized by the UNP, SLMC, Western Province
People’s Front and SLFP (M) in which vehicle owners
sounded their horns.
Another
campaign was held near Lake House Roundabout where Secretary
General of the UNP Tissa Attanayake and Leader of SLFP
(M) wing Mangala Samaraweera participated. Mr. Attanayake
addressing the participants said their campaign would
continue until the present government was driven away.
