The Election Commissioner's Department has requested candidates contesting the Provincial Councils election of the North Central and Sabaragamuwa PCs to submit their nominations between June 27 and 12 noon on July 4, Deputy Election Commissioner W.P. Sumanasiri told www.news.lk.
Accordingly nominations are called for the Ratnapura, Kegalle, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts at the District Secretariat offices of the respective district.

A total number of 85 members from both provinces will be chosen with 27 from Rathnapura, 21 from Kegalle, 24 from Anuradhapura and 13 from Polonnaruwa districts.

All the 'Independent Groups' contesting should deposit Rs. 2000/= on or before the July 3, the Department said.
