Sri Lankan Ayurvedic Centers to be set up in Australia, Sweden and Cuba

The Ministry of Indigenous Medicine is planning to setup Ayurvedic centers in Australia, Sweden and Cuba in response to requests made from these countries and arrangements have been made to set up four ayurveda centres in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Perth in Australia.

The Ayurvedic centers set up in Australia will get the service of the Ayurvedic doctors and staff while the medicines required will be provided by the Ministry. The centers will be managed by Sri Lankans in Australia.

Minister of Indigenous Medicine, Tissa Karalliyadde speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the fully automated multi purpose bottling plant at the Sri Lanka Ayurvedic Drugs Corporation premises at Navinna said that Ayurvedic Medicinal raw materials, herbs are now cultivated more extensively in Sri Lanka through the "Osu Gammana" project which was launched in 2000.
