An LTTE bunker line located North of Alankulam was destroyed by Sri Lanka Air Force MI-24 helicopter gunships this morning (09) around 11 am.

According to Air Force sources, the raid has been launched to support the ground troops.

"The exact damage caused to the enemy is yet to be ascertained," Air Force spokesperson, Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said.
