Sri Lanka's star batsman Sanath Jayasuriya already feels comfortable at Lancashire and hopes to add to his happy memories of Old Trafford as he prepares for his short stint in the English game.
The 37-year-old Sri Lanka legend has joined the county for a month as cover for compatriot Muttiah Muralitharan, who is part of the Sri Lanka side taking on Bangladesh and is available for the first phase of the Twenty20 Cup.
Jayasuriya sees Old Trafford as a happy hunting ground for him and his country, most recently with the win over England last year on the way to a 5-0 one-day series whitewash.
He said, "Last year was really good and we won a lot of one-day games."
"Old Trafford is an historic venue for us and I've always played good cricket here. I've played a lot of international cricket here."
"I just want to enjoy my cricket and to get Lancashire into a good position by the time it's time for me to leave. That's the best thing I can achieve."
"The players have been very friendly and they've looked after me."
Jayasuriya is set to play the eight group matches in the Twenty20 Cup, which Lancashire begin against Durham Dynamos on Friday, and will also face Yorkshire in the County Championship, starting on July 8.
He has promised to live up to his tag as a big hitter during his short spell in England and feels the Twenty20 game allows him to demonstrate his full array of skills.
He added, "This form of cricket is very interesting. I've played quite a few games and I've really enjoyed it.
"I've played well and I'm looking forward to the Twenty20 games."
"It suits me because the way I've played in 50-over games or Twenty20 games shows that. It's the way I play."
"I always enjoy my cricket and there is no reason to feel pressure."
"I've played a lot of cricket so I just enjoy my cricket and I'll just play my natural game." he said.
