Chaminda Vaas broke one of Test cricket's more obscure records when he scored his maiden century against Bangladesh.
The Sri Lankan's 97-Test wait for his first hundred is the longest in the game's history, beating Jason Gillespie, who played 55 Tests before scoring a hundred also against the Tigers.
The top five in that particular category are all bowling all-rounders from the modern age:
Jason Gillespie - Australia v Bangladesh in 2006 at Chittagong - 70th Test
Heath Streak - Zimbabwe v West Indies in 2003 at Harare - 55th Test
Shaun Pollock - South Africa v Sri Lanka in 2001 at Centurion - 50th Test
Daniel Vettori - New Zealand v Pakistan in 2003 at Hamilton - 48th Test
Vaas' ton also ensures that another of Shane Warne's records is safe. The Australian, who once scored 99 against New Zealand in Perth, notched the most amount of runs in a Test career without reaching three figures.
