CATHERINE CRUSE AND OXFAM TRAIL WALKER UK 2007
Quintus de Zylva    (SNNI) Melbourne

CATHERINE CRUSE ( wife of David Cruse of the famous Knox Tavern) will participate in the OXFAM TRAILWALKER UK 2007 along with David Wilson, Ivan Cook and Nicole Cook from Melbourne. They will walk 100 km from Petersfield in London to the Brighton Race Track on the 14 th of July this year and need to complete the 100km in 20 hours. Their effort will raise $A4000 for the work Oxfam do around the world.

A fund raising dinner was held at the Knox Tavern on Friday 22 nd June when $2350 was raised with a packed crowd of supporters. A delightful menu which included egg-hoppers gave the evening a Sri Lankan touch which was topped off with bread and butter pudding!

Cathy Cruse did the Melbourne walk for Oxfam two years ago and last year she did the Kokoda Trail – all in the cause of OXFAM and it's humanitarian work throughout the world.

Oxfam responded immediately when Sri Lanka suffered horrific loss and damage in the Boxing Day Tsunami 2004.

David Cruse in his tribute to his beloved wife Cathy said “She is amazing. She does all this on top of looking after four kids plus me – her biggest pest. She is an amazing woman with great will power”.

We are proud of Catherine Cruse and the OXFAM TRAILWALKER Team from Melbourne. Good Luck.
