14 Tamil civilians including 8 males and 6 females arrived at the Pulmoddai army camp seeking refuge around 11 this morning (July 7), defence sources said. According to the sources the refugees were residents of Thawaladdi in Mulaithiuvu.

The refugees have said that they had fled their homes due to the unbearable harassments committed by the LTTE terrorists against civilians. Since, the LTTE has dined civilian use of roads , the refugees had taken a sea passage to the cleared area , the sources further said.
