Three
leaders of the Ceylon Workers Congress, including Arumugam
Thondaman, have been found guilty of contempt of court
and handed down suspended prison sentences.
They
had been accused of disregarding a previous order by the
court against entering the office of Lanka Labour United
Front leader S. Sathasivam
Nuwara
Eliya Magistrate Amali Ranaweera today (July 29th) imposed
a six-month imprisonment suspended for three years and
a Rs. 3,000 fine each on Thondaman, Muttu Sivalingam and
R. Radhakrishnan.
