SLAF fighter jets launched precision air strikes at an LTTE boat movement detect one kilometer off the coast of Mullaittivu this morning (July 9) at 8.

An LTTE boat was destroyed in the attack, Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said, adding that few other vessels were also believed damaged during the air sortie.

Further, citing intercepted LTTE communication, the Spokesperson said that, 2 LTTE self styled 'majors' were killed and many others injured in the simultaneous air strikes launched at a high profile LTTE gathering point at Vaddakkachchi in Kilinochchi district on Sunday (6).
