At least 10 LTTE terrorists were killed and 6 others reported wounded during separate clashes erupted between troops and LTTE, Wednesday (July 9) south of Vedithalthivu at the Mannar battlefront.

According to reports, 6 terrorists were killed in general area Puliyankulama, when troops forced into 2 LTTE bunker defences with small arms and RCL fire at 6a.m.

Separately, troops mounted similar attacks at 3 LTTE bunker defences located south of Vedithalthivu, as military reports confirmed killing 4 terrorists and injuring 6 others in the offensive lunched at around 6.45 a.m.
