Slain Minister Dasanayake to be cremated
with state honors in Anamaduwa
The
funeral ceremony of the slain minister D.M. Dassanayake
is to be held with state honors on 12th January, in Anamaduwa,
his native place.
The
motorcade carrying the remains left Jeyaratne funeral
parlor for Anamaduwa yesterday morning, as hundreds of
mourners and his electors lined up on Colombo –
Puttalam main road.
In
the meantime five Police teams have been assigned to probe
into all aspects related to the assassination of Minister
Dassanayake at Ja-Ela, on Tuesday morning, after the investigation
taken over by the Criminal Investigations Department.
